IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING PURCHASES FROM 655623 B.C. LTD dba OCEAN EQUIPMENT
We regret to advise that effective immediately, sending shipments to the U.S. has changed.
As of August 29, 2025, shipments by mail will incur an approximate 15% per item (ad valorem duties) on products originating from Europe because the De Minimis ($800) was suspended as of August 29, 2025. ALL low-value shipments to the U.S. are now dutiable and must meet full entry requirements. Products originating from other countries will be subject to the fees set by the U.S. Government, & could incur up to 35% ad valorem duties.
In addition, there will be a U.S. Merchandise Processing fee (MPF) for mail shipments, which applies on entries (0.3464% ad valorem; minimum & maximum amounts apply)
These duties and processing fee must be prepaid by the purchaser prior to creating the postal shipment in order that a Declaration ID proving payment can be presented to Canada Post when the shipping manifest is created.
Shipments sent by courier (UPS) will also be subject to the same ad valorem duties, however they will be collected directly from the purchaser by UPS, along with any brokerage fees, before the shipment is released to the purchaser.
